Peace and Joy

When I praise the Lord, his joy dispels my fears!
1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
– Ps 34:1-4

The Lord’s word gives me peace and I don’t lose my way.
165 Those who love your instructions have great peace
and do not stumble.
– Ps 119:165 NLT

3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
– Isa 26:3 KJV

15 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: . . .
– Isa 30:15a

When I meditate on the Lord’s great mercy and grace, I have no time to worry. Grumbling and complaining are far from me!

14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
– Phl 2:14-15

“It is a Christian duty for everyone to be as joyful as they can be!” – C. S. Lewis
